Team History

Stronghold wrestling club started in 1989, making it the oldest running club in the area. Stronghold has seen generations of wrestlers come and go, but it continues to provide a supportive environment for young athletes to grow and develop their skills. Over the years, the club has produced some of the best wrestlers the area has ever seen. Despite the passage of time, the club remains a beloved fixture in the community, drawing in kids and teenagers from all walks of life who share a passion for wrestling. The dedication and hard work put in by the coaches and wrestlers have ensured that the club remains a cornerstone of the valley’s wrestling scene and a source of pride for the local community.

Goals

Stronghold Youth Wrestling’s goal is to instill the following skills in its young student-athletes: Work Ethic, Mental Toughness, and Character.

Our goals is to create strong, competitive, athletes on the mat, in the classroom, at home, and in their everyday lives.

Work Ethic

Work hard everyday on the mat and in life. We encourage our athletes to be highly motivated towards achieving their goals.

Mental Toughness

Wrestling requires physical strength and mental toughness. Mental toughness is when a quality mind refuses to give in to a tough situation combined with the drive to overcome doubts.

Character

Being a good athlete, person, and teammate are important to the growth and culture of our team. Wrestling builds character by the individual nature of the sport to internalize how “you” can improve each day.

“How you do anything is how you do everything.”

Why Wrestling?

Our mission is to enhance the overall lives of Inland Empire youth through athletic activity, and the many lessons learned in preparation for and participation in athletic competition.

We intend to achieve this goal by providing leadership and direction while facilitating opportunities through youth wrestling.
